Welcome to the most popular credit blog on the web! I’m Ryan, and I started this blog back in 2007 as a way to share some of the lessons I’ve learned over the past few years about credit repair.
Since then it’s grown quite a bit as I found out that lots of people are looking for practical information when it comes to credit repair.
My credit story is pretty typical. Lots of my readers have shared similar stories, so maybe your story also sounds something like mine. During college I ran up some credit card debt basically to get by, and on a few occasions was unable to pay the bills. I also had a few medical bills go into collections. All of this resulted in my credit score dropping to the low 500’s. At this point I was pretty much unable to get approved for any loans or credit cards.
For quite some time this really bothered me, because I’m not the type of person who doesn’t pay their bills, yet I was being treated as a deadbeat. After college, and once I got on my feet, I set out to repair my bad credit and rebuild new good credit.
Once I finally set a goal to repair my credit, I started to do tons of research only to find out that it was really difficult to find practice advice on improving your credit. Nonetheless, I stuck with it and learned just about everything a person can learn about credit repair.
Why I Started This Blog
I started The Better Credit Blog because there is a real need for a blog like this. I learned this after embarking on my own credit journey, and I want to make it easier people others to get help. The goal of this blog is to provide practical tips, guides, and lessons on credit repair.
I hope you will find the information on this blog extremely helpful. If you’re ready to get started, I suggest you check out Starting Your Credit Repair Journey.
